Ben Dunn has spent the last seven years in Leavenworth military prison, falsely convicted of violating a direct order in a war zone. He had determined that action on the order was strategically unnecessary and would cause needless civilian causalities. Therefore, he countermanded the order, unaware that it had been devised by his commanding officer as cover for opium drug smuggling activities.
Now paroled, and reunited with his close friend, Sal Garcia, they travel to Ben’s home area in Wyoming to seek justice and gather evidence that would support an appeal hearing before a military tribunal and aid a federal drug taskforce.
During their investigation, they are confronted with a dilemma; do they respond with compassion or with mercy? Do they respond with revenge or forgiveness. Their decision reveals the depth of character of these two veterans.
Throughout their adventure in the Bighorn Basin of Wyoming, they receive support from citizens responsible for overseeing the God-Blessed valleys of Middle of Nowhere. The story continues.
Justice for Ben is a parable of forgiveness and repentance – and the power of following the will of the Lord, even in small ways.
