The Presence of God –
When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man and his wife heard the Lord God walking about in the garden. I was afraid because I was naked.” Genesis 3: 8
“Throw me into the sea,” Jonah said, “and it will become calm again. I know that this terrible storm is all my fault.” 13 Instead, the sailors rowed even harder to get the ship to the land. But the stormy sea was too violent for them, and they couldn’t make it. 14 Then they cried out to the Lord, Jonah’s God. “O Lord,” they pleaded, “don’t make us die for this man’s sin. And don’t hold us responsible for his death. On this Memorial Day, we think of the many veterans, many part of this network, who served in the military during various times of threat to our national security. The current threat among us is not a nation, it is an unseen, vicious, taker of lives. So, we honor not only our military veterans, but also those that have stepped into the breach to bring healing to the virus afflicted and, too often, have given their lives. This, too, is their day.
