²⁹ Don’t use bad language. Say only what is good and helpful to those you are talking to, and what will give them a blessing. ³⁰ Don’t cause the Holy Spirit sorrow by the way you live. Remember, he is the one who marks you to be present on that day when salvation from sin will be complete. ³¹ Stop being mean, bad-tempered, and angry. ¹It is God himself, in his mercy, who has given us this wonderful work of telling his Good News to others, and so we never give up. ² We do not try to trick people into believing—we are not interested in fooling anyone. But Jesus was asleep. ²⁵ The disciples went to him and wakened him, shouting, “Lord, save us! We’re sinking!” ²⁶ But Jesus answered, “O ye of little faith! Why are you so frightened?” Then he stood up and rebuked the wind and waves, and the storm subsided and all was calm. Matthew 8:23-26

How can an old man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again?” ⁵ Jesus replied, “What I am telling you so earnestly is this: Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God. ⁶ Men can only reproduce human life, but the Holy Spirit gives new life from heaven; ⁷ so don’t be surprised at my statement that you must be born again!
