WATCHWORD:
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:31
Bulletin Board:
From Jesus Calling for March 26: ‘Waiting on me means directing your attention to me in hopeful anticipation of what I’ll do. It entails trusting me with every fiber of your being, instead of trying to figure things out yourself. Waiting on me is the way I designed you to live: all day, every day. I created you to stay conscious of me as you go about your daily duties.’ (Put on a happy face?)
From Peter Gano: These are indeed trying times! One of the things I do is read…a lot, and I read among other things Christian History Magazine. Today I received an email notice that the Christian History Institute is beginning a video streaming service (free and called Redeem TV). I looked into the notice, and I am impressed with the sort of film fare on the website. It might just help a little to break up the cabin fever. (I think we can get this by going through RedeemTV brought to you by Christian History Institute).
From Stan: Good morning. I pray that you had a good night’s sleep and that you are rested and ready to go to work. The hardest kind of work – keeping our loved one and ourselves in a peaceful, optimistic mood. The words of a song from long ago, one that we sang to our kids when they were bored and grumpy:
Gray skies are gonna clear up, put on a happy face.
Brush off the clouds and cheer up, put on a happy face
Take off the gloomy mask of tragedy
It’s not your style.
You’ll look so good that you’ll be glad
You decided to smile.
Yes, hard work, blessed work, but Phil 4:13 fills our mind.
Prayer Requests:
Yes, here is a big one for each one of us – Lord help us to accentuate the positive. Help us to eliminate the negative. Help us to latch on to the affirmative. Strengthen us so that we stay away from mister-in-between…apathy! That is the prayer that each one of us should have for one another. Amen.
Have a good, blessed day.
